About the position

The Senior Data Architect position involves developing comprehensive strategies for the implementation of data warehouses, focusing on data acquisition, access, archiving, and recovery. The role requires designing and building relational databases that facilitate efficient data storage and processing. A critical aspect of this position is evaluating new data sources to ensure they meet the organization's quality standards and can be easily integrated into existing systems. The architect will be responsible for building data models and defining the structure, attributes, and nomenclature of various data elements. In addition to these responsibilities, the Senior Data Architect will design large-scale data architectures that encompass Data Dictionaries, Data Repositories, Data Governance, and Big Data Systems. The role also involves addressing system latency, data recovery, disaster recovery, and implementing publish and subscribe mechanisms. The architect will utilize service-oriented architecture and representational state transfer principles, as well as manage file transfers and data lakes, ensuring a robust chain of custody for data. The deployment of large-scale data architectures is a key responsibility, which includes leveraging Data Lakes, chunking, and managing large file shares. The architect will also need to address increased time limits due to infrastructure limitations, utilizing serverless computing solutions like AWS Athena and Lambda to handle concurrency issues. Furthermore, the role requires expertise in extract, transform, load (ETL) processes, standard data formats, and parsing techniques to optimize data handling. The architect will also design and oversee manual review data processes and machine learning models, ensuring they align with organizational goals and standards.
