The Senior Data Center Analyst at Ensono is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing system monitoring, production batch monitoring, and workload throughput within MVS/ZOS/VM/VSE environments. This position requires a keen focus on ensuring that production processing aligns with the service levels and requirements agreed upon with both internal and external clients. The analyst will engage in a 12-hour shift rotation, working on a quad schedule of 3 on, 3 off, and 4 on, 4 off, which includes both day and night shifts. Weekend and holiday work is also a requirement based on the shift schedule, and occasional travel (approximately 10%) to client sites may be necessary for knowledge acquisition related to new business initiatives. In this role, the analyst will monitor and manage the internal and external MVS zSeries and VM/VSE environments, ensuring that all production processing meets the established service levels. Effective communication is crucial, as the analyst will interact frequently with both internal and external customers. Daily shift turnover and customer checklists must be completed, and both written and verbal communication of shift turnover is essential. The analyst will document any deviations using the company's designated Incident Management tool, ensuring that all incidents are clearly detailed and escalated appropriately to maintain service levels. The position also involves ensuring that system IPL, maintenance, and backup processes are executed according to a predetermined schedule and established procedures. All operational changes must be documented and approved in the Change Management tool prior to implementation, with follow-up to close completed changes with valid data. The analyst is expected to adhere to documented processing procedures and suggest updates to the internal Operations SharePoint documentation repository as needed. The role requires the ability to work independently, organize tasks effectively, and provide hands-on support as required. Additional duties may be assigned by Operations management as necessary.
