About the position

The Senior Data Center Design Electrical Engineer at Oracle is a senior multi-disciplinary design lead responsible for overseeing electrical design aspects of data center projects. This role involves direct collaboration with data center partners to ensure the effective design and delivery of electrical systems, including power generation, storage, and fire alarm systems. The engineer will manage all design decisions related to new builds, expansions, and refurbishments, leveraging extensive experience in mission-critical facilities and electrical engineering qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Leads and manages projects or design and engineering initiatives.
• Provides guidance and engineering leadership to ensure projects meet or exceed company expectations.
• Applies expert knowledge of engineering systems for diagnostics and repairs.
• Ensures safe working practices are followed and evaluates the practices of others.
• Collaborates with colocation providers' engineering teams to ensure robust electrical system design and installation.
• Identifies and develops training programs for newer team members.
• Mentors junior team members and directs project teams delivering data centers.
• Contributes to contract administration, including review of contracts and change orders.
• Develops and maintains best-in-class policies and procedures for engineering practices.
• Solves complex cross-functional issues and recommends system-level enhancements.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in electrical engineering and data center design.
• Professional qualifications in electrical engineering.
• Expertise in engineering systems and advanced diagnostics.
• Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and technical writing.
• Ability to mentor and train junior engineers.
