About the position
The Senior Data Center Engineer Infrastructure/Cloud position at KBR involves providing technical leadership in implementing enterprise information and data management practices. This role is crucial for ensuring national security through the design and optimization of defense systems, particularly in the areas of storage, network, and cloud engineering.
Responsibilities
- Provides technical leadership and direction in implementing enterprise information/data management practices.
- Storage Engineering: managing multiple enterprise HPE Storage Area Networks (SAN).
- Network Engineering: working with Cisco network LAN/WAN and Software Defined Networking (SDN).
- Infrastructure/Cloud Engineering: utilizing VMware vCloud Enterprise Suite and managing hybrid cloud environments with multiple classified Government clouds.
Requirements
- TS/SCI clearance is required.
- Current DoD 8570.1-M IAT Level II certification (i.e., Security+ CE) is mandatory.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with modeling, DFDs, and the ability to create and read associated diagrams.
- Professional-level certifications in Linux, VMware, Network, Storage, or Cloud.
- ITIL Foundations certification.
