About the position

The Senior Data Center Engineer Infrastructure/Cloud position at KBR involves providing technical leadership in implementing enterprise information and data management practices. This role is crucial for optimizing defense systems that ensure national security, particularly in the context of space defense. The engineer will work with advanced technologies in storage, network, and cloud engineering, contributing to innovative projects that have a significant impact on national security.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical leadership and direction in implementing enterprise information/data management practices.
• Storage Engineering: managing multiple enterprise HPE Storage Area Networks (SAN).
• Network Engineering: working with Cisco network LAN/WAN and Software Defined Networking (SDN).
• Infrastructure/Cloud Engineering: utilizing VMware vCloud Enterprise Suite and managing hybrid cloud environments with multiple classified Government clouds.

Requirements

• TS/SCI clearance is required.
• Current DoD 8570.1-M IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE) is mandatory.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with modeling, DFDs, and the ability to create and read associated diagrams.
• Professional-level certifications in Linux, VMware, Network, Storage, or Cloud.
• ITIL Foundations certification.
