As a Senior Data Center Engineer at teKnoluxion, you will play a crucial role in supporting the UDS contract at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). This position requires an active TS clearance with SCI eligibility and the ability to obtain a CI polygraph upon application. The role is not open for any clearance upgrades or sponsorship, emphasizing the need for candidates who already meet these security requirements. You will be responsible for developing computer systems specifications that align with government system architecture standards, ensuring that all hardware and software systems are compatible and effectively integrated. This includes establishing and documenting system parameters and formats, as well as coordinating modifications to system parameters based on current and projected computer capacity and capabilities. In addition to system development, you will revise existing systems and procedures to correct deficiencies and enhance data handling, conversion, input/output requirements, and storage capabilities. Your responsibilities will also include the installation and maintenance of storage, networking, and server hardware, ensuring that development systems are available to end users through continuous monitoring and issue remediation. You will apply necessary security updates and implementations mandated by Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity regulations, ensuring compliance and security of the systems you manage. As a senior engineer, you will oversee the efforts of less senior staff and may be responsible for the work of all staff assigned to specific jobs. This leadership aspect of the role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. You will also be expected to provide on-call support and respond to after-hour calls as needed, with travel requirements estimated at 0-20% to local area sites and other locations with similar architecture and footprint.
