As a Senior Data Center Facility Engineer IV at Equinix, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and functionality of our data center facilities. This position is primarily focused on performing repairs, corrective maintenance, and routine installations within the data center environment. You will be responsible for conducting site inspections, monitoring building and data center alarms, and ensuring that all systems are operating efficiently. Your expertise will be essential in resolving incidents as they arise, ensuring minimal disruption to our operations and services. In this role, you will perform preventative maintenance on site infrastructure, which includes the maintenance of primary infrastructures, and may also lead vendor teams in these efforts. You will undertake repairs and corrective maintenance tasks, operating critical infrastructure under the supervision of more senior technical staff. Your responsibilities will also include the completion of site logs and data gathering, as well as issuing basic permits such as Method of Procedures (MOPs) and scripts. You will respond to all on-site incidents and act as required, ensuring that all routine work requests and circuit installations are completed efficiently. Collaboration is key in this position, as you will work closely with your peers to provide input on general maintenance activities and assist during critical maintenance tasks. You will also have the opportunity to carry out basic infrastructure projects, contributing to the overall success of the operations team. This role requires flexibility, as you may be required to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
