About the position

As a Senior Data Center Inventory & Asset Technician (SDIAT), you will play a crucial role in managing the inventory and asset processes within our data centers. Your primary responsibilities will include prioritizing and assigning ticketed work to technicians on your team, providing guidance on inbound and outbound logistics tasks, and ensuring that inventory balances are accurate. Responsibilities

  • Run daily safety topic huddles and manage escalated task risks and reported issues.
  • Train employees on safe and effective rack moving and ensure compliance with heavy-lifting equipment requirements.
  • Prioritize and assign ticketed work to Data Center Inventory and Asset Technicians on the team.
  • Provide technical support and task-specific guidance to technicians responsible for preparing and executing incoming/outgoing deliveries.
  • Direct the flow of packages from preparation to shipment and schedule inbound and outbound logistics.
  • Communicate directly with customers regarding scheduling both inbound and outbound deliveries.
  • Maintain a strong focus on optimizing resources and improving quality for customer service.
  • Ensure the team maintains and performs steps required to keep the inventory balance accurate.
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert for Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) warranty processes.
  • Ensure the team processes failed vendor hardware devices and follows all Service Level Agreements (SLA) related to RMA warranty processes.
  • Manage the schedule of Data Bearing Device (DBD) destruction and coordinate with third-party vendors as necessary.
  • Create execution plans to improve satisfaction and performance within the organization.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and model compliance to less experienced team members.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma AND 2+ years of experience in warehouse/supply chain in an IT environment, inventory management, retail, warehouse management, or a related field.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including shift assignments during non-standard business hours that may include evenings, nighttime, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • Ability to meet customer and/or government security screening requirements, including a Cloud Background Check and citizenship verification.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3+ years of experience in warehouse/supply chain in an IT environment, IT, and/or logistics.
  • Experience operating heavy-load movement equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack, chain lift) for a large corporation.
