About the position

The Senior Data Center Project Lead II is responsible for overseeing and delivering complex technical projects related to data center operations and migrations to AWS cloud services. This role requires a strong background in IT project management, particularly within large data center environments, and proficiency in Agile methodologies. The Project Lead will ensure successful project outcomes within scope, schedule, and budget while collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and deliver complex technical projects related to data center operations and AWS cloud migrations.
• Ensure successful project outcomes within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Facilitate effective communication among team members and stakeholders.
• Monitor project deliverables and milestones to ensure alignment with the project plan.
• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, managing product backlog and ensuring timely delivery of prioritized features.
• Collaborate with internal and external vendors/service providers to meet operational requirements.
• Champion Agile methodologies throughout the project lifecycle, leading Agile ceremonies and guiding the team in Agile adoption.

Requirements

• 7 years of extensive experience in IT project management within large data center environments.
• 6 years of strong technical understanding of projects managed in an Agile context, including knowledge of enterprise data flows.
• 6 years of proficiency in the MS Office suite, particularly Microsoft Project.
• 6 years of excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• 6 years of expertise in monitoring project deliverables and milestones.
• 5 years of experience in defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• 5 years of proficiency with IT procurement, budgeting, forecasts, and financial analysis.
• 5 years of experience collaborating with internal and external vendors/service providers.
• 5 years of solid experience in on-premise to AWS cloud migrations.
• 5 years of advanced skills in planning, documenting, and achieving project goals.
• 5 years of strong leadership, organizational, and time management abilities.
• 5 years of expertise in communicating with stakeholders to address blockers and risks.

Nice-to-haves

• 3 years of experience in government fiscal and budget management for data centers.
• 3 years of familiarity with senior leadership reporting and communication tools.
• 2 years of experience with tools such as Remedy, ITSM, PPM, Archer, Jira, and ServiceNow.
• 2 years of experience in preparing and tracking security exemption requests.
