The Senior Data Consulting Analyst (Data Solutions Engineer) at CoreLogic plays a crucial role in collaborating with various teams to define and document requirements for data products. The role emphasizes analytical support and effective communication with stakeholders to ensure that data needs are met, ultimately enabling clients to make informed decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate discovery of business requirements from the client's perspective, translating them into specifications for data elements.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure data needs are well understood.
  • Gather requirements from stakeholders to write extract specifications that meet client needs.
  • Define user stories and requirements, conducting research and analysis to develop standardized layouts and packages.
  • Write detailed descriptions of user needs, including acceptance criteria for custom data extracts or new standard data products.
  • Validate specifications with stakeholders to ensure consistency with business requirements and expected results.
  • Coordinate issue resolution across multiple teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Business/Process Analyst or directly related experience in the same or related industry.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into complete and deliverable specifications.
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple concurrent projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with and influencing cross-functional teams.
  • Strong listening and question-based knowledge gathering skills.
  • Ability to synthesize and analyze data from various sources, identify issues, draw conclusions, and craft solutions.
  • Experience working as a member of a distributed team.
  • Ability to organize and coordinate with stakeholders across multiple functions and geographic locations.
  • Experience in authoring SQL queries.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with diverse coding, profiling, and visualization approaches including Python, Tableau, Google Cloud.
  • Domain knowledge covering aspects of the real estate economy (mortgage servicing, property insurance, credit, etc.).
  • Extensive knowledge of client base and product and data offerings.
  • Understanding of Big Data, Cloud, Machine Learning approaches and concepts.
