About the position

The Senior Data Designer/Architect role is focused on leveraging extensive experience in data architecture and modeling within the financial services sector. The position requires a strong background in Snowflake and in-memory data processing, along with expertise in real-time data capturing and messaging tools. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of application design and relevant database knowledge, contributing to the development of robust data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data architecture solutions for financial services.
• Utilize Snowflake for data modeling and processing.
• Develop and maintain star schema and 3-dimensional data models.
• Implement in-memory data processing techniques and tools.
• Manage real-time data capturing and messaging using tools like Kafka.
• Apply open table concepts such as Apache Iceberg in data solutions.
• Collaborate on application design from a full stack perspective.
• Create and manage 2 or 3 tier views in database systems.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in data design and architecture.
• Strong background in financial services.
• Proficiency in Snowflake is a must.
• Experience with data modeling techniques including star schema and 3-dimensional modeling.
• Knowledge of in-memory data processing tools and techniques.
• Familiarity with real-time data capturing and messaging tools like Kafka.
• Experience with open table concepts such as Apache Iceberg.
• Understanding of application design from a full stack perspective.
• Relevant database knowledge.
