About the position

As a Senior Data Driven Insights Analyst at Raymond James, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the insights generation for the largest revenue-producing business unit, Asset Management Services (AMS). This position offers a unique opportunity to work within a high-performing team while enjoying significant autonomy and limited supervision. Your primary responsibility will be to interpret the critical business needs of stakeholders and provide appropriate analyses of relevant data, transforming it into actionable insights that enhance business performance. You will model complex business scenarios, identify key performance metrics, and conduct comprehensive data analyses using a range of techniques from summary statistics to advanced modeling. Additionally, you will create and automate reports, effectively communicate findings to diverse stakeholder audiences, and mentor less experienced analysts on the team. This role is essential in driving data-driven decisions that will propel the business forward, making a significant impact on the organization. In this position, you will collaborate closely with AMS leadership to identify, define, and solve a variety of complex business problems and opportunities. You will lead, manage, and execute data analysis projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to project scope, and effective communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Your expertise will be crucial in developing statistical models and methodologies to predict, quantify, or forecast various operational and performance metrics. You will prepare management reports and present findings that define the problem, document the analysis, and recommend courses of action to determine the best outcome. Furthermore, you will analyze current systems and processes, collaborating with the AMS business reporting team to develop a comprehensive understanding of business operations. As the subject matter expert on AMS data, you will ensure quality and reliability, providing feedback to business process owners and the IT department as needed. You will proactively evaluate and propose enhancements to procedures and technical infrastructure, and mentor less experienced analysts, providing training on analytical techniques to foster their development and ensure team cohesion. Your role will also involve supporting firm-level initiatives and ad hoc requests from a variety of departments and stakeholders, making your contributions vital to the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with AMS leadership to identify, define, and solve a variety of complex business problems and opportunities.

  • Develop statistical models and methodologies to predict, quantify, or forecast various operational and performance metrics.

  • Analyze current systems and processes, collaborating with the AMS business reporting team to develop a comprehensive understanding of business operations.
  • Become the subject matter expert on AMS data, ensuring quality and reliability, providing feedback to business process owners and the IT department as needed.
  • Proactively evaluate and propose enhancements to procedures and technical infrastructure.
  • Mentor less experienced analysts, providing training on analytical techniques to foster their development and ensure team cohesion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics, Statistics or related discipline required; MBA or Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of (3) years of experience in data analytics, preferably with exposure to the Financial Services sector.
  • Advanced knowledge and demonstrated experience of statistical and machine learning models and methods.
  • Advanced knowledge of large relational databases and SQL programming.
  • Familiarity with data mining, reporting and visualization tools such as Tableau.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Excel, SQL, PowerPoint and Tableau, with hands-on experience using CRM tools.
  • Advanced communication skills with a proficiency for conveying complex data insights clearly and effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
