About the position

The Senior Data Engineer role is designed for an experienced professional with over 10 years in data engineering. This position focuses on creating and enhancing data pipelines, developing database models, and optimizing SQL performance. The engineer will work closely with business stakeholders to translate their requirements into technical specifications, ensuring effective data transformation and loading into Snowflake. The role requires hands-on experience with CI/CD processes and familiarity with agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications.
• Create new data pipelines leveraging existing data ingestion frameworks and tools.
• Develop and enhance database models and data transformations (DBT) based on requirements.
• Parse, transform, and load data into Snowflake.
• Optimize SQL performance and tuning.
• Work in an agile team environment.

Requirements

• 10+ years of data engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD processes.
• Proficiency in SQL performance tuning and optimization.
• Experience with agile working methodology.
• Ability to communicate effectively with business stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of investments data in the financial services domain.
• Familiarity with AWS services and Bitbucket Cloud.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence.
