About the position

Infosys is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to enable digital transformation for clients through a global delivery model. The role involves researching technologies, recommending solutions, and contributing to best practices in technology. The Senior Data Engineer will interface with key stakeholders and apply technical proficiency across various stages of the Software Development Life Cycle, fostering a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and respect for diversity.

Responsibilities

• Enable digital transformation for clients in a global delivery model.
• Research technologies independently and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Contribute to technology-specific best practices and standards.
• Interface with key stakeholders throughout the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Apply technical proficiency across different stages of project development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology.
• At least 4 years of experience in modern data engineering/data warehousing/data lakes technologies on cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, GCP, Data Bricks.
• Proven experience with SQL, schema design, and dimensional data modeling.
• Solid knowledge of data warehouse best practices, development standards, and methodologies.
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools like ADF, Informatica, Talend, and data warehousing technologies like Azure Synapse, Azure SQL, Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, Google Big Query.
• Strong experience with big data tools (Databricks, Spark) and programming skills in PySpark and Spark SQL.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of Event Hub, IOT Hub, Azure Stream Analytics, Azure Analysis Service, Cosmo DB.
• Knowledge of SAP ECC /S/4 and Hana.
• Intermediate knowledge of Power BI.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD deployments, and cloud migration methodologies.
