TEKsystems client is seeking an experienced Data Architect to assist with their migration to Azure DataBricks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL and Python, as they will be responsible for engineering data pipelines and building stored procedures/views. This role requires a technical individual who can contribute to the team's efforts in moving to the Azure DataBricks platform, which is a key focus of the organization at this time. The Data Architect will be tasked with building out the Enterprise Data Model and understanding the current business processes. They will drive the maturity and development of the Modern Data Platform, contributing to the successful delivery of the enterprise data model. The role involves exploring the technical needs of the business and proposing robust solutions through functional data architecture strategy and design. The Data Architect will gather business and functional requirements and translate these into scalable, operable solutions with a flexible and adaptable data architecture. Additionally, the Data Architect will need to understand customer pain points and build solutions that make large and complex data more accessible, understandable, and usable by applications and teams. Collaboration with all levels of business stakeholders is essential to architect, implement, and test data-based analytical solutions from disparate sources. The role also includes developing strategies for data acquisition and working closely with users, systems designers, and developers on project teams. Responsibilities will encompass conducting business analysis, event modeling, logical and physical database design, database optimization, load strategy design and implementation, security, and change management. The Data Architect will design scalable Enterprise Data Architectures and solutions, ensuring alignment with the organization's goals and objectives.
