This job is responsible for driving data engineering efforts to deliver enterprise-wide capabilities and complex data solutions. Key responsibilities include directing code design and delivery tasks associated with the integration, cleaning, transformation, and control of data in operational and analytical data systems and working with the Project Management team to define outcomes and inform work structures. Job expectations include providing technical thought leadership by implementing complex data solutions and interactions across multiple systems and domains.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a range of analytics and automation solutions, including data extraction, analysis, reporting, and dashboard design.
• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring design consistency across multiple systems.
• Maintain, improve, clean, and manipulate large data for operational and analytics data systems, building complex processes supporting data transformation and quality controls.
• Utilize multiple architectural components in the design and development of client requirements and collaborate with development teams to understand data requirements.
• Define and build data pipelines to enable data-informed decision making, ensuring adherence to release processes and risk management routines.
• Contribute to existing test suites including integration, regression, and performance, analyze test reports, and lead triage of underlying causes.
• Lead the identification of gaps in data management standards adherence and work with partners to develop plans to close gaps.
• Mentor Data Engineers in the delivery and release of continuous integration and continuous delivery events.
• Utilize analytical skills to independently develop analytics and automated testing solutions using various tools and programming languages.
• Support the design and execution of new analytics, automated testing tools, and models.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and efficient completion with high standards of work.
• Coordinate, schedule, scope, and lead large, cross-functional analytics and automation activities.
• Exercise judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills to influence business partners.
• Coach and train junior team members in execution of analytics and automation activities.

Requirements

• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of SQL, SAS, Alteryx, Python, Tableau or related tools.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Advanced analytic skills to navigate systems, access data, reconcile numbers from different sources, and identify discrepancies and trends.
• Strong track record of implementing automated solutions related to data and analytics, including the ability to present data in user-friendly reports and dashboards.
• Ability to work independently or in teams on multiple projects simultaneously under minimal supervision.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate with both technical and executive audiences.

• Experience with model development, machine learning / artificial intelligence, and data science.
• Experience with DataRobot, Instabase, and UIPath.
