This position is responsible for driving data engineering efforts to deliver enterprise-wide capabilities and complex data solutions. The Senior Data Engineer will play a crucial role in the Corporate Audit and Credit Review (CACR) analytics & automation team, which delivers data-driven, risk-based insights and automation solutions to the CACR organization. This role involves developing and implementing a range of analytics and automation solutions, including data extraction, analysis, reporting, and dashboard design, as well as more advanced analytics such as statistical analysis, text mining, natural language processing (NLP), and modeling/machine learning/AI. The Senior Data Engineer will interact with highly experienced audit and credit professionals, data experts, and technology teams. Intellectual curiosity is essential for driving critical thinking to produce optimal solutions. Strong time management, coordination, communication, and presentation skills are necessary for success in this role. Responsibilities include assembling large, complex data sets that meet functional and non-functional requirements, maintaining and improving data for operational and analytics systems, and building complex processes that support data transformation and quality controls. Additionally, the Senior Data Engineer will define and build data pipelines to enable data-informed decision-making, contribute to existing test suites, and lead the identification of gaps in data management standards. This position may also involve mentoring junior data engineers and managing associates, ensuring that all projects are completed on time and to a high standard. The role requires a deep understanding of data management, risk management, and solution design, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and executive audiences.
