About the position

The Senior Data Engineer at Epic Games Store plays a crucial role in developing and implementing data solutions that drive business decisions and enhance user experiences. This position involves close collaboration with Data Science, developers, and business leadership to create telemetry, robust data models, and stable ETLs, ultimately owning the data that shapes the future of the storefront.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement telemetry to track critical behaviors of customers within our products
• Build robust ETLs and pipelines to support reporting internally and externally
• Facilitate proactive analysis on ecosystem-wide growth & engagement challenges, partnering with specialist analytics leaders from around the company
• Partner with data analysts to develop efficient pipeline architecture for business needs

Requirements

• Ability to design and manage data models and schemas for various business scenarios
• Ability to own solutions end-to-end: designing metrics, building logging specs, developing pipelines, conducting analysis, building readouts, and continuously iterating
• 5+ years developing in Python
• Proficiency in SQL
• Proficiency with Airflow or similar tooling
• Proficiency in Apache Spark
• Experience with Databricks or similar applications
