About the position

The Senior Data Engineer position at the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) focuses on analyzing, mapping, building, testing, and maintaining database pipeline architectures using Oracle and DB2. This role is crucial for the Child Welfare Data Conversion efforts as the legacy system transitions to Salesforce. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, ensuring data quality and compliance with governance policies.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, map, build, test, and maintain database pipeline architectures using Oracle and DB2.
• Collaborate with SMEs to understand and execute data conversion objectives that transform, mask, and load data into Salesforce objects.
• Create and maintain table schemas.
• Create new data validation methods to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and cleanliness.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.
