About the position

The position involves driving the future of Apple's products and applications by engineering scalable data pipelines and managing rich datasets related to iCloud products. Responsibilities

• Engineer efficient, adaptable, and scalable data pipelines to process structured and unstructured data.
• Own and evolve datasets on iCloud products and platform interactions to support various use cases.
• Build data solutions that integrate well with existing systems and leverage cutting-edge technologies.
• Understand the impact of technical decisions on business outcomes and deliver data frameworks that enhance decision-making processes.
• Collaborate with a team of data experts to deliver solutions that improve data utilization.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience with Spark and other distributed data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Presto, Flink, Druid).
• Highly proficient in at least one programming language: Java, Python, or Scala.
• Deep expertise in Data Principles, Data Architecture, and Data Modeling.
• Strong SQL skills and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Experience in a complex, matrixed organization with cross-functional projects.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Cloud Computing platforms like Amazon AWS and Google Cloud.
• Experience building stream-processing applications using Apache Flink, Spark-Streaming, or Kafka Streams.
• Familiarity with search systems (e.g., ElasticSearch, Solr) and NoSQL datastores (e.g., HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB).
• Experience in building distributed, high-volume data services.
