Responsibilities

  • Engineer efficient, adaptable, and scalable data pipelines to process structured and unstructured data.
  • Own and evolve rich datasets on iCloud products and platform interactions to support various use cases.
  • Build forward-looking data solutions that integrate well with existing systems and leverage cutting-edge technologies.
  • Understand how technical decisions impact business outcomes and deliver data frameworks that enhance delivery quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve decision-making processes.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience with Spark and other distributed data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Presto, Flink, Druid).
  • Highly proficient in at least one of Java, Python, or Scala.
  • Deep expertise in Data Principles, Data Architecture, and Data Modeling.
  • Strong SQL skills and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Experience in a complex, matrixed organization with cross-functional projects.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Cloud Computing platforms like Amazon AWS and Google Cloud.
  • Experience building stream-processing applications using Apache Flink, Spark-Streaming, Apache Storm, or Kafka Streams.
  • Familiarity with Search systems (e.g., ElasticSearch, Solr) and NoSQL datastores (e.g., HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB).
  • Experience building distributed, high-volume data services.
