As a Senior Data Engineer at Capital One, you will play a crucial role in building and pioneering technology solutions that address complex business challenges. This position involves collaborating with Agile teams to design, develop, and implement full-stack technical solutions, while also mentoring fellow engineers and staying updated on the latest tech trends. You will leverage your expertise in programming and cloud services to deliver impactful solutions that enhance financial empowerment for millions of customers.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions.
- Share knowledge and mentor other members of the engineering community.
- Stay updated on tech trends and experiment with new technologies.
- Work with digital product managers to deliver cloud-based solutions.
- Utilize programming languages and tools such as JavaScript, Java, SQL, Python, and AWS services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 3 years of experience in software engineering (Internship experience does not apply).
Nice-to-haves
- 5+ years of experience in JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, or Go
- 1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service
- 3+ years of experience in open source frameworks
- 2+ years of experience in Agile practices.
