About The Position

As a Senior Data Engineer on the Data Platform Team, you will play a crucial role in the development, testing, and maintenance of the firm's analytical data assets. This position supports various applications, workflows, reporting, integrations, and other solutions essential for our operations. You will collaborate closely with data scientists, report writers, product group customers, stakeholders, and other IT resources to define business needs and build scalable data processing pipelines. Your expertise in SQL and Python, along with a solid understanding of Snowflake data cloud and Azure data assets, will be vital in this role. In addition to technical skills, you are expected to provide solution design leadership and mentor junior engineers and team members. Your responsibilities will include managing and supporting the Azure Machine Learning environment, developing ETL processes using data factory and SSIS tools, and designing and managing the data lake environment. You will also be tasked with developing, constructing, testing, and maintaining architectures, including databases and large-scale processing systems. Your role will involve creating visual reports in Power BI, maintaining queries and stored procedures using T-SQL, and supporting data integrations. You will analyze data to identify gaps and data quality issues, and follow the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) while creating and maintaining documentation for newly developed and refactored applications.
