About the position

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our rapidly growing team in Los Angeles. This role focuses on building and managing data pipelines that integrate data from various business systems and ad platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, particularly in developing ETL pipelines, and will play a crucial role in implementing streaming data architecture. The position offers the opportunity to work in a tech-forward environment with a dedicated team, contributing to the transformation of our business into a self-service SaaS platform.

Responsibilities

• Build and take ownership of data pipelines that move data from business systems, ad platforms, and AdTech software.
• Write code primarily in SQL and Python.
• Implement streaming data architecture using tools like Kafka, Airbyte, and Snowflake.
• Ensure data quality and troubleshoot data issues.
• Collaborate with teams to build effective data solutions and support self-service.
• Stay updated on data engineering trends for continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4-7 years of experience in engineering/data engineering.
• Experience developing ETL pipelines for internal business systems.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience building batch and streaming data pipelines.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Ad Platform APIs.
• Working knowledge of LLM/ML-ops tooling.
