About the position

The Senior Data Engineer role is designed for an experienced professional with over 10 years in data engineering, focusing on building and modernizing data platforms. This position requires a strong background in AWS, ETL/ELT processes, and data streaming technologies, particularly Kafka. The ideal candidate will also have expertise in various database management systems and DevOps tools, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of data operations within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data pipelines using AWS and Kafka.
• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Manage and optimize SQL and NoSQL databases for performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
• Utilize DevOps tools to automate and streamline data engineering processes.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering.
• Strong expertise in AWS cloud technologies.
• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and data streaming (Kafka preferred).
• Proficiency in SQL and database management (Relational, NoSQL, Graph).
• Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines (Git, Jenkins, Maven, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Nice-to-haves

• AWS Certifications (Associate or Professional).
• Knowledge of API development and containerization.
