About the position

The Senior Data Engineer will play a crucial role in building data foundations and interpreting quantitative data for the Apple Developer Program. This position involves producing analysis for legal and regulatory initiatives, ensuring transparency and compliance with global regulations, and measuring the impact of initiatives aimed at combating fraud and abuse. The role requires collaboration with various teams and the ability to communicate complex data insights effectively.

Responsibilities

• Produce analysis for legal and regulatory initiatives involving the Apple Developer Program.
• Report on metrics critical to measuring Apple's compliance with regulations.
• Serve as an expert on data sources associated with services and processes.
• Propose solutions to engineering partners for deeper insights.
• Collaborate with legal, engineering, product, and support teams to identify opportunities for better representation of work.
• Support a global team, requiring responsiveness and flexibility outside of normal business hours.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
• 10+ years of data analysis experience.
• Background in data analysis, particularly in a highly-regulated industry or transparency reporting.
• Deep experience working with Oracle and HDFS.
• Competency in Python, Shell, Javascript, SQL.
