About The Position

The Senior Data Engineer at ManTech is responsible for designing, developing, supporting, and maintaining the organization's database systems. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT related field
• Five or more (5) years of position related experience
• Hold one of the following certifications within 6 months of commencing work on the Task Order: CCNA-Security, CySA, GICSP, GSEC, Security CE, CND, SSCP
• If a candidate does not have a degree at all, four (4) additional years of experience are required
• If a candidate holds an Associates degree rather than a Bachelor's degree, two (2) additional years of experience are required

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Vendor tool certifications appropriate to TDL requirements; e.g., Oracle and Mongo

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, supports, and maintains the organization's database systems, including hardware, software, and network components
• Implements and manages vendor or open-source database software
• Codes and monitors database objects for optimal performance
• Provides day-to-day database administration support as needed
• Extracts and loads data
• Sets up cybersecurity measures
• Updates hardware and software as needed
• Authenticates data
• Monitors the performance of hardware and software
• Configures servers and databases
• Preserves data integrity
• Ethically handles private data, such as financial and healthcare data
• Troubleshoots and provides technical support to database system users
