About the position

As a Senior Data Engineer at Booz Allen, you will play a crucial role in organizing and analyzing big data to provide pivotal insights for various mission-driven projects. Your expertise will be utilized to implement data engineering activities, develop scalable pipelines, and guide a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced, agile environment. This position focuses on leveraging big data for impactful solutions across sectors such as fraud detection, cancer research, and national intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Implement data engineering activities on mission-driven projects.
• Deploy and develop pipelines and platforms to organize disparate data.
• Guide a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers.
• Manage the assessment, design, building, and maintenance of scalable platforms for clients.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience designing, developing, operationalizing and maintaining complex data applications at enterprise scale.
• 5+ years of experience with Python programming.
• 5+ years of experience building scalable ETL and ELT workflows for reporting and analytics.
• Experience creating solutions within a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
• Knowledge of AI and ML methodologies.
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
• HS diploma or GED.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with SQL, Scala, or Java.
• Experience with UNIX and Linux, including basic commands and Shell scripting.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services environment or other Cloud service provider.
