About the position

The Senior Data Engineer at Jasper AI, Inc. is responsible for researching, designing, and developing software solutions for data management. This role focuses on building advanced data pipelines to handle both structured and unstructured data, contributing to the evolution of the company's Data Lake and Data Warehouse infrastructure. The position emphasizes the importance of best practices in coding and project execution, ensuring high-quality outputs through rigorous testing and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs.
• Build state-of-the-art data pipelines to extract, transform, and load structured and unstructured data at scale.
• Advocate for the evolution of the company's technical roadmap for Data Lake and Data Warehouse infrastructure.
• Utilize prior experience to build a time series data warehouse.
• Evaluate the latest big data technologies and influence the evolution of data infrastructure.
• Design and build a monitoring platform for the data pipeline to ensure operational objectives are met.
• Establish best practices for high-quality code production through unit tests, code reviews, and documentation.
• Own the development of various modules in the data pipeline.
• Contribute to the execution of projects that span across multiple areas of the product.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Data Management, Information Technology and Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
