About the position

The Senior Data Engineer at Cox Communications is responsible for developing and supporting frameworks and analytics applications that enable capabilities for reliability operations, engineering, and network service health. This role involves implementing cloud capabilities, building and maintaining frameworks in AWS, and providing guidance in Agile planning while monitoring emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

• Enablement for Reliability Operations, Engineering, Premise and Network Service Health.
• Anomaly detection and ad-hoc support as needs and issues arise, especially Long-Range Plan impacting anomalies.
• Implement cloud capabilities including data ingestion, data models, data storage, high-throughput data processing, data pipelines, access management and data monitoring at scale.
• Build and maintain frameworks in AWS for transitioning analytics solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 4 years' experience in a related field, or a master's degree and 2 years' experience, or a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience, or 16 years' experience in a related field.
• Strong knowledge of AWS cloud.
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout the organization.

• Experience in telecommunications industry desired.
