About the position
The Senior Data Engineer at Jasper AI, Inc. is responsible for designing and developing advanced data pipelines and infrastructure to manage both structured and unstructured data. This role involves leveraging big data technologies to enhance the company's Data Lake and Data Warehouse, ensuring high-quality code and effective monitoring of data processes. The position allows for 100% telecommuting, providing flexibility in work location.
Responsibilities
- Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs.
- Build state-of-the-art data pipelines to extract, transform, and load structured and unstructured data at scale.
- Advocate for the evolution of the company's technical roadmap for Data Lake and Data Warehouse infrastructure.
- Utilize prior experience to construct a time series data warehouse.
- Evaluate the latest big data technologies and influence the evolution of data infrastructure.
- Design and build a monitoring platform for the data pipeline to ensure operational objectives are met.
- Establish best practices for high-quality code production through unit tests, code reviews, and documentation.
- Own the development of various modules in the data pipeline.
- Contribute to projects that span multiple areas of the product.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Data Management, Information Technology and Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
