About the position

The Senior Data Engineer at Intrepid plays a crucial role in supporting the Army's annual Program Objective Memorandum (POM) development and defense. This position focuses on enhancing data organization and accessibility, developing digital data structures, and supporting data visualization tools to facilitate POM planning and budget reviews. The role requires a blend of technical expertise in data engineering and a commitment to improving organizational insights and decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide data organization and accessibility to enable analysis in support of the Army's annual POM development and defense.
• Develop digital data structures and support data visualization tool development for POM planning, POM build, and Program budget review.
• Serve as the senior data engineer providing data structures and synchronization to bolster data storage and usage for the Program Objective Memorandum.
• Develop space and structure for data science applications that address specific organizational needs, such as improving insights into programs and optimizing operations.

Requirements

• An active SECRET security clearance and the ability to maintain it.
• A bachelor's degree in a non-STEM field and 5-10 years of relevant experience.
• Programming experience in R or Python with an emphasis on data analysis frameworks (Pandas, NumPy, Tidyverse).
• Experience with data visualization frameworks (Shiny, Streamlit, Dash, Plotly, ggplot2) and SQL databases (Postgres, Oracle).
