About the position
The Senior Data Engineer at Lumen will play a crucial role in enhancing the company's data infrastructure, focusing on building and maintaining a cost-effective data pipeline. This position involves developing the data team's infrastructure, optimizing ETL processes, and supporting complex data analysis and modeling tasks, all aimed at leveraging data to empower users in their health journeys.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain Lumen's data pipeline infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain the data team's infrastructure, including cloud-based solutions and on-premise systems.
- Develop the foundation of Lumen's MLOps infrastructure to streamline the deployment and management of machine learning models.
- Optimize ETL processes to handle large volumes of data and ensure data quality.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of data pipeline and ETL processes.
- Experience with cloud-based data solutions and on-premise systems.
- Familiarity with MLOps practices and tools.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, or similar.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark.
- Knowledge of machine learning frameworks and libraries.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools.
