About the position

As a Senior Data Engineer at Schneider Electric, you will be an integral part of an Agile development team, tasked with designing and building innovative solutions that address a wide range of data, analytic, and application challenges. Your primary responsibilities will include the design, construction, and operation of robust and scalable data pipelines that handle both streaming and batch data. You will also be responsible for automating data sets to facilitate analytical consumption and creating and maintaining optimized cloud-based infrastructure. A key aspect of your role will involve re-architecting and re-platforming legacy data pipelines to enhance performance and reliability. In addition to these core responsibilities, you will design and manage databases, ensuring they meet the needs of the organization. You will engage in technical requirement gathering, working closely with Business Analysts to ensure that the solutions you develop align with business needs. Your role will also involve deploying scalable data pipelines on the cloud and conducting unit testing to ensure the integrity and performance of these pipelines. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 2 years of experience in software engineering, data analysis, data engineering, software development, or related occupation.
  • Experience in data analysis, risk analysis, and handling data quality issues.
  • Design of data pipelines and warehouses using data warehousing solutions (e.g., Redshift, Presto, Greenplum).
  • Monitoring and triaging issues in an ETL process.
  • Database design using SQL development language.
  • Experience with data pipelines leveraging Python, Scala, and/or Java.
