About the position

The Senior Data & Integration Architect at Quaker Houghton is responsible for developing and leading the enterprise data strategy, ensuring a scalable and secure data architecture that supports the company's analytical and integration needs. This hands-on role involves managing the complete lifecycle of data architecture, collaborating with various business units, and implementing data management tools and technologies. The architect will also ensure compliance with data security policies and continuously assess new technologies to enhance data operations globally.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the complete lifecycle of the organization’s enterprise data strategy.
  • Provide technical leadership in the implementation of scalable and secure data architecture.
  • Shape the development of the data integration strategy, including tool selection and implementation.
  • Put data management and data quality processes, policies, and metrics in place and ensure ongoing compliance and data availability.
  • Provide technical team leadership over all data aspects of projects.
  • Align technology solutions to tangible business outcomes and results.
  • Build, develop, and maintain data models.
  • Create data flow, architecture, and technical documents.
  • Provide consulting support on all organization data-related solutions.
  • Set organizational KPI and measures, driving visibility and accountability.
  • Recruit, train, develop, and supervise data and analytics analyst talent.
  • Perform and document audits regularly according to company policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data management, or related fields.
  • Expertise in data modeling, database design, and data integration strategies.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
  • Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks, data quality management, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency with ETL tools, data warehousing, and database management systems.
  • Familiarity with analytics and BI platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • 3+ years of Azure or AWS cloud services and data ecosystem exposure.
