About the position

The Senior Data Integration & Automation Engineer will provide technical direction and design solutions for new or existing applications, addressing both basic and complex problems. This role involves overseeing systems analysis, design, and development, while also mentoring less experienced personnel. The engineer will play a key role in project planning, testing, and evaluating the interrelationships among various programs and applications, ensuring that solutions are technologically sound and aligned with business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Provide designs and specify information systems solutions for applications.
• Serve as a principal application designer for major modifications.
• Direct and monitor the activities of less experienced personnel.
• Complete and oversee systems analysis, design, and development.
• Prepare and manage the technical component of project plans.
• Participate in overall systems development direction from analysis to user acceptance testing.
• Prepare and review test data and execute detailed test plans.
• Evaluate complex interrelationships among programs and applications.
• Prepare clear technical and functional specifications and update documentation.
• Review documentation prepared by less experienced staff.
• Prepare assessments including required tasks and estimated time frames.
• Maintain efficient operation of supported applications.
• Recommend new technology, policies, or processes to improve organizational effectiveness.
• Lead or participate in technical evaluations of vendor software.
• Promote the use of development standards and procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years work experience with C#.
• Experience with JavaScript, PowerShell, Graph API, ASP.NET, and SQL.
• Knowledge of Data Lake and data warehousing/catalog.
• Experience with automation tools such as Gitlab, Ansible, OpenShift, Artifactory, Terraform, and Automic is a plus.
• Prior banking experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently on high-level systems analysis and technical phases of development.
• Capable of managing activities of others on a project basis.
