The Senior Data Integration Engineer plays a critical role in defining and leading the end-to-end processes necessary for integrating data from acquired companies into standardized systems. This position is focused on leveraging repeatable, scalable, and efficient methods to ensure successful data conversion. The engineer will be responsible for various aspects of data conversion, including planning, execution, testing, and validation, while also advancing methodologies and practices related to data conversion. This role requires close collaboration with IT and user community personnel from both the acquiring and acquired companies to ensure seamless integration and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle. In this position, the Senior Data Integration Engineer will perform analyses of diverse source and target systems, examining their data models and the data they contain. This analysis is crucial for effective data extraction, transformation, and loading from legacy systems to new systems. The engineer will identify and document data conversion requirements, strategize and design reusable and repeatable data conversion processes, and work closely with the IT development organization to implement these designs. Additionally, the engineer will participate in the execution and testing of defined data conversion processes, identify and resolve data anomalies, and validate data with stakeholders. The role also involves defining and continuously improving data conversion processes, best practices, and methodologies. The engineer will develop a strong understanding of Master Data, Transactional Data, and general business processing to facilitate effective discussions with non-technical personnel. Furthermore, the Senior Data Integration Engineer will assist in defining project tasks and timelines, ensuring that all aspects of the data conversion project are executed efficiently and effectively.
