About the position

The Senior Data Modeler - PL/SQL Developer at Lynker Corporation is responsible for building and maintaining critical data systems that support the nation's fisheries, focusing on both conservation and commercial fishing operations. This role involves deep analysis of legacy data structures, designing and implementing data models, and ensuring adherence to quality standards for new data sources. The position requires a high level of expertise in PL/SQL and data architecture, contributing to complex projects and potentially directing the technical work of others.

Responsibilities

  • Deep analysis of existing legacy data structures
  • Design and implement logical and physical data models
  • Create, communicate, and adhere to standard modelling conventions
  • Follow a scientific approach to efficient SQL Query Tuning
  • Proficient in Oracle PL/SQL application design, review, and coding
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve issues related to PL/SQL code
  • Evaluate new data sources for adherence to the organization's quality standards and ease of integration
  • Provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top level contributor/specialist
  • Direct the technical work of others as needed

Requirements

  • Oracle Database design and maintenance experience
  • SQL Query Tuning experience
  • Experience with PL/SQL
  • Data Modelling experience
  • BS/BA degree (or equivalent)
  • 8+ years experience in Data Architecture and PL/SQL Development
