About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Data Product Analyst to design and develop strategic data products for Consumer Banking. This role is part of the Analytic Enablement team, which focuses on providing analytics teams with the necessary data, tools, and resources to enhance their effectiveness. The position emphasizes collaboration with analytics teams to create next-generation data products, ensuring high-quality data usage, and driving modernization in data and analytics across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with analytics teams to identify candidate data products and design next-generation prototypes.
  • Conduct research into existing Wells Fargo data systems to evaluate data quality and fit for use.
  • Lead or participate in moderately complex data product initiatives and contribute to large-scale planning.
  • Review and analyze data product challenges to drive data enablement strategies and roadmaps.
  • Independently resolve data product issues and lead teams to meet deliverables.
  • Collaborate with peers and managers to ensure optimal performance of data product solutions.
  • Provide input on new use case intake, prioritization, and product roadmap definition.
  • Manage moderately complex datasets focusing on consumer needs while adhering to data governance standards.
  • Create and maintain data product roadmaps and documentation throughout the product life cycle.
  • Serve as a liaison between data management, product teams, and architecture teams.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of data product or data management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • Proficiency in SQL.
  • Proficiency using Hadoop (Hive) and Teradata Database.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Knowledge of the modern data stack and experience with data and analytics technologies such as Google BigQuery, Alteryx, Spark, Python, etc.
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proficiency with Data Visualization tools such as Tableau.
  • Experience with the agile scrum framework.
  • Experience working in a product team.
  • High degree of intellectual curiosity and desire to learn and discover.
  • Experience working with data in the financial services industry.
  • Experience developing and publishing content with SharePoint and Confluence.
