About the position

The Senior Data Quality Analyst will play a crucial role in enhancing data quality across the organization by collaborating with various teams to establish and maintain high standards of data integrity. This position involves performing data quality profiling, measurement, and reporting to address data quality issues, ultimately contributing to Huntington's goal of becoming the best-performing regional bank in America.

Responsibilities

  • Work with business partners to understand requirements for data use, analysis, and quality.
  • Monitor business perception of data quality to establish subjective quality measures.
  • Profile data from internal and external sources.
  • Inform solution design and improvements to meet data quality goals.
  • Liaise with Data Governance to communicate data quality issues and consult on remediation initiatives.
  • Establish parameters for a data/data set.
  • Implement systematic data quality monitoring for both objective and subjective measures.
  • Report findings and work proactively with data governance, data curators, and business systems to identify root causes and facilitate remediation and improvement of data quality.
  • Coordinate with data curators to ensure data accessibility and quality.
  • Contribute to the management of central data stores and metadata to establish quality expectations.
  • Manage processes associated with data quality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • 4+ years of experience with Data Quality, including working with business operations and reporting processes, executing data quality analysis, and translating business data needs into technical language.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, focusing on outcomes and results.
  • Experience with Python and/or Java.
  • Understanding of SQL, query skills, and Business Intelligence technologies/concepts.
  • Understanding of DataOps and DevOps operational styles.
  • Understanding of Data Management and Data Quality principles, best practices, and processes.
  • Technical knowledge and experience using Data Management and Data Quality tools, including relational databases and data warehouse concepts.
  • Collaborative working style and ability to facilitate cooperation with business stakeholders and analysts.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new technologies on the job.
  • Financial Services background.
