U.S. Data Security (USDS) is a subsidiary of TikTok in the U.S., created to enhance focus and governance on our data protection policies and content assurance protocols to keep U.S. users safe. The E-Commerce Risk Control team within USDS works to minimize the damage caused by inauthentic behaviors on TikTok's E-Commerce platforms, addressing various business risk areas such as account integrity, incentive abuse, malicious activities, brushing, click-farming, and information leakage. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to engage with the company's strategic security initiatives, particularly in developing scalable, robust, intelligent, and privacy-safe systems and solutions. The challenges you will face are not typical day-to-day technical puzzles; instead, you will be part of a team that is innovating solutions to unprecedented challenges in a rapidly evolving product ecosystem. Your work will need to be fast, transferable, and grounded in making quick and impactful differences. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be responsible for building rules, algorithms, and machine learning models to respond to and mitigate business risks associated with TikTok products and platforms. This includes analyzing business and security data to uncover evolving attack patterns, identifying weaknesses in risk defense solutions, and defining risk control measurements. You will also quantify and monitor risk-related business and operational metrics, aligning risk teams and stakeholders on numeric goals and promoting data-driven practices for risk management.
