The Senior Data Scientist, Performance Analytics will play a pivotal role in leveraging statistical programs and developing internal analytical solutions to conduct in-depth analyses of project operations data. This position requires a strong focus on maintaining data pipelines, which involves collecting, cleaning, standardizing, and analyzing data from various internal and external sources. The Senior Data Scientist will utilize effective communication skills to interpret data analysis results and present insights through clear written reports and persuasive oral presentations. Collaboration is key in this role, as the Senior Data Scientist will work on the creation and ongoing enhancement of products that provide intuitive data visualizations and reports. These tools are designed to help users comprehend complex concepts, discern trends, and make informed business decisions. The role also involves writing ad hoc Python and SQL scripts for development and analytics, particularly for lost energy quantification. Additionally, the Senior Data Scientist will contribute to the development and enhancement of routines that improve business efficiency and analytical methodologies. Utilizing parallelized programming tools such as Databricks for batch processing across large datasets is essential. The Senior Data Scientist will also be responsible for improving and recommending data collection, cleaning, and quality control specifications, as well as data sampling techniques. Applying missing data treatments as needed for reporting is another critical aspect of this role. Furthermore, collaboration with other data scientists and analysts to develop and refine best practices for analytics teams is expected.
