Senior Data Scientist

About the position

As a Senior Data Scientist at Nestlé Purina, you will leverage advanced data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to develop and implement analytics applications that enhance operational effectiveness and support management decision-making. This role emphasizes a consumer-centric approach, driving innovation in pet nutrition through deep research and insights.

Responsibilities

• Apply analytical, statistical, unsupervised/supervised learning, optimization, and visualization techniques to understand, describe, and predict patterns in data.
• Utilize best practice capabilities to develop and automate data acquisition, preparation, modeling, visualization, and industrialization to streamline and simplify data science operations/process.
• Build and share libraries, utilities, and user-interface applications.
• Work with a variety of programming languages, tools, and platforms.
• Support projects from initial ideation through planning, execution, and delivery.
• Work with internal and/or external development teams to scope and deliver projects.
• Serve as technical translator between development teams and commercial business partner.
• Review technical aspects of development team's work.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience in data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence capabilities in the design, development and deployment of business solutions, or equivalent advanced degree (Master's, Doctorate) with 2+ years of experience.
• 2+ years of experience with Python, R, Databricks.
• 2+ years of experience in internal consulting or client interaction solving business problems with advanced quantitative analysis and application of scientific method/thinking.
