About the position
The Senior Data Storyteller will be a key member of the Product Data Science team, focusing on analyzing behavioral data to create compelling narratives and insights. This role is essential for translating complex data into understandable formats that enable stakeholders to make informed, data-driven decisions. The ideal candidate will possess strong storytelling abilities combined with a solid understanding of data analysis techniques.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis of behavioral data, including quantitative and qualitative data sources.
- Develop compelling narratives and visualizations that effectively communicate complex data to a diverse audience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data-inspired opportunities and insights.
- Advanced ability to solve problems collaboratively within the immediate team.
- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) on model outputs and or new data assets.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and data storytelling methodologies.
- Be agile and adaptable, able to challenge assumptions and revisit decisions based on new information.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of data manipulation techniques, including intermediate or advanced understanding of SQL or other similar querying languages and Python or other similar programming languages.
- Excellent storytelling and writing skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear and engaging narratives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with data visualization tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with large datasets and data management tools.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in storytelling or a related field.
- Knowledge of the gaming industry or related domain areas (e.g. media or entertainment industries).
- Experience working with data-inspired teams or projects.
