About the position

This position supports the data organization by providing ETL, report, and data lake support. The role involves monitoring and troubleshooting ETL processes, creating new ETL processes and reports, and providing on-call support as part of a scheduled rotation. The candidate will work with various technologies and have opportunities to learn and strengthen a wide range of skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring of ETL processes and reports as necessary
• Troubleshooting failures in the production environment
• Resolving issues and restarting production processes in a timely manner
• Updating code and ETL processes to resolve issues
• Interacting with internal business partners to identify the root cause of reported problems
• Providing detailed updates on work assignments to managers

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 4+ years post-qualification experience in a software engineering role with exposure to the full SDLC
• Technical knowledge of ETL processes and reporting tools
• Ability to communicate effectively with business partners
• Problem-solving skills

Nice-to-haves

• Strong Microsoft BI skills
• Experience with Business Intelligence and reporting tools such as Business Objects, Crystal or LOGIXML
• Experience with ETL tools such as PowerCenter Informatica
• Job scheduling experience (Autosys)
• AWS Cloud experience (EC2, EMR, S3, Kinesis, Dynamo, API Gateway & LAMDA)
