About the position

We have an opening for a Senior Data Systems Analyst with a robust background in systems analysis and enterprise data management to lead the implementation of our data privacy initiatives. This role goes beyond traditional privacy analysis by requiring deep technical expertise in data lineage, dependencies, SQL, and the ability to work closely with testers, developers, and other cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience implementing data privacy tools, drawing out complex system dependencies, and ensuring data integrity and compliance across the enterprise. In this position, you will lead the implementation of data privacy tools, managing advanced data privacy technologies to ensure they meet regulatory requirements and industry best practices within complex enterprise environments. You will establish, maintain, and document detailed data lineage across the organization, identifying dependencies and potential privacy risks while collaborating with IT and data management teams to ensure accuracy and comprehensiveness. Your role will also involve performing in-depth systems analysis to understand the interaction between different data sources, applications, and workflows. You will develop and implement integrations between data management tools, including workflow engineering, scripting, API integrations, and system interoperability. Strong SQL skills will be essential as you query, analyze, and manipulate data across various databases, supporting data lineage documentation, data classification, and privacy-related analytics. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with testers, developers, and other stakeholders to design and implement data privacy controls, ensuring seamless integration into existing systems and processes. You will provide technical guidance and support to ensure successful deployment and operation of these controls. Additionally, you will implement and oversee data lifecycle management processes, including data retention and deletion in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. Your expert knowledge of global privacy laws and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA) will be crucial in ensuring that all data privacy practices align with the latest legal standards. You will conduct privacy impact assessments (PIAs) and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to mitigate privacy risks. Monitoring and analyzing privacy incidents, breaches, and complaints will also be part of your responsibilities, ensuring timely reporting, root cause analysis, and remediation efforts to prevent future occurrences. Staying up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and regulatory changes in data privacy and security will be essential to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of compliance and data protection.
