About the position

As a Senior Data Visualization Developer at Revo Health, you will play a pivotal role in healthcare innovation, enabling industry leaders to make informed, data-driven decisions. Your primary focus will be on creating engaging and user-friendly dashboards using Tableau, which will not only present data but also tell compelling stories that lead to actionable insights. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse array of healthcare data spanning various medical specialties and internal support departments. This includes patient billing and revenue cycle data, patient scheduling and operations data, patient experience data, clinical data, finance data, and human resources workforce data, among others. This full-time position operates Monday through Friday during standard business hours and is based at our Revo Health Corporate Office in Bloomington, MN. We offer flexibility for a hybrid work model, allowing for both remote and in-office work. In this role, you will be employed by Revo Health while working closely with Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health) and its operating divisions. Responsibilities

  • Build dashboards in Tableau Desktop for clients, focused on the Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs), based on documented specifications.
  • Develop creative visualizations and dashboard layouts to meet request specifications.
  • Utilize design and visualization techniques to create engaging dashboards that tell a story.
  • Write complex calculations at the database and/or dashboard level.
  • Write custom database queries to join and manipulate data to meet dashboard requirements.
  • Test and validate all calculations, dashboards, and reports prior to release.
  • Review dashboards with the Director and other organizational contacts for feedback.
  • Present dashboards for critique review at the organization's analytics workgroups.
  • Maintain knowledge of visualization best practices.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of Revo's data warehouses and how to use them.
  • Understand internal and external client operations to test logic of calculations and reports against operational workflows.
  • Collaborate with and actively participate in the organization's analytics workgroups.
  • Provide feedback for other developers on their work when presented for critique review.
  • Work with ASC leadership to specify their analytics requests.
  • Present and train ASC leadership on completed dashboards.
  • Answer ASC leadership questions related to data and/or Tableau.
  • Occasionally participate in community functions relating to outreach events throughout the year.
  • Perform any and all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of professional experience in data analytics, healthcare, and/or consulting
  • 2+ years experience as a Tableau developer
  • 2+ years SQL querying experience
  • Familiarity with Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) operations is strongly desired
  • Strong desire to make a difference in healthcare if no prior experience exists
  • Strong, effective communication skills tailored to differing audiences
  • Team-oriented and collaborative with flexibility to support changing timelines and deliverables
  • Problem solver with the ability to develop creative solutions and handle confidential information.
