About the position
As a Senior Data Warehouse Developer with TeamRoehl, you make a difference by designing, developing, and implementing innovative data solutions that provide deep value to our Roehl team members and drivers. You are responsible for developing and optimizing critical infrastructure, ETL processes and data retrieval methodologies to create and deliver high value Roehl information assets across multiple business units. This technical leader will be on the front line of striving for modern data practices. Roehl Transport is a data rich environment! Our 2,000+ tractors and 5,000+ trailers are generating hundreds of data points per mile. Our proprietary customer and driver management systems and sophisticated communications systems are full of data just ready to be explored and leveraged. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement innovative data solutions.
- Develop and optimize critical infrastructure, ETL processes, and data retrieval methodologies.
- Create and deliver high value Roehl information assets across multiple business units.
- Collaborate with business analysts, data owners, and other BI Developers to collect, understand, and validate data requirements.
- Analyze organizational needs and provide effective data engineering solutions.
Requirements
- Expert level SQL Skills.
- Multiple years of building and implementing data warehousing and analytical solutions.
- 2 or more years of experience developing within a modern information stack.
- Deep understanding of relational and dimensional data models and metadata practices.
- Understanding of basic data governance practices.
- Understanding of Agile development practices.
- Understanding of secure data handling practices.
- Experience with the Microsoft stack, utilizing SQL Server and T-SQL is highly preferred.
- Experience with C# is preferred.
- Cloud Experience is desired, Azure preferred.
- Experience with modern visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
- Experience with Angular or similar web development platforms is a plus.
- Experience with Great Plains is a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft CRM is a plus.
- Experience with Python is a plus.
- Experience with RabbitMQ is a plus.
