About the position

The Senior Data Warehouse Engineer / Data Engineer position at Robert Half is a hands-on technical role focused on modernizing and building out a Data Lake in the cloud, while initially rebuilding an on-premises data warehouse. This permanent direct hire position offers significant flexibility with a hybrid work model, requiring weekly onsite presence in Des Moines, Iowa. The role involves all aspects of data engineering, with opportunities for growth into a technical leadership position.

Responsibilities

• Rebuild an on-premises data warehouse.
• Build out a Data Lake in the cloud.
• Work with structured and unstructured data.
• Utilize Azure Data Factory for data engineering tasks.
• Engage in data integration processes.
• Collaborate with an Agile team and manage team dynamics.

Requirements

• 5+ years of data warehouse experience.
• Advanced SQL Server skills.
• Strong SQL experience with structured and unstructured data.
• Experience in building out an on-premises data warehouse and a Data Lake.
• Proficiency in Azure Data Factory.
• Experience with Azure Cloud solutions.
• Knowledge of Power BI and data analytics.
• Agile team management experience is highly desired.
• Data integration skills.
