As a Senior Data Warehouse (SSIS) Developer, you will be part of a 43-person team made up of Project Managers, Teradata and Web Developers, Data Modelers, DBAs, Business Analysts, and Report Analysts. You must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with programmers, analysts, immediate supervisors, management, system users, operations, other State agencies, and the private sector. You will enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. In this role, you will provide code repository management and SSIS packages support, coordinate support for network-related issues and development, lead source data research and target data requirements analysis for successful conversions, audit existing data for quality and clarity, and be responsible for converting existing data and adding new data sources as needed according to conversion best practices. You will also preserve and improve data quality during data conversion activities, prepare necessary forms and documentation for implementation, and work with the State and stakeholders to convert existing data and reports, including algorithms to assure matching occurs between datasets before and after conversion. Additionally, you will analyze and recommend process improvements and must be able to work independently. Responsibilities

  • Provides code repository management and SSIS packages support
  • Provides support/coordination for network related issues and development
  • Leads source data research and target data requirements analysis for successful conversions

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Teradata and Teradata Utilities experience
  • 5+ years of experience with SQL Assistant
  • 5+ years of experience performing data extracts, data transformations & data loads (ETL)
  • 5+ years of experience with all phases of SDLC
  • 3+ years of DEV OPS Experience in SQL/WIN Environment; SSIS packages/authored in Visual Basic
  • 3+ years of experience using GitHub code repository or similar
  • 3+ years of experience with troubleshooting server network issues related to firewalls, VPN, B2B connections, etc.

  • 1+ years of experience with State Government/Public Health business areas
  • Experience working with business partners to proactively identify value add solutions
